Being aware of the impact of everyday activities on the climate is the first step toward knowing what steps can be taken to reduce emissions as an individual, a community group, or an organisation. Carbon literacy teaches facts to facilitate action and it goes beyond knowing to include emotional and behavioural enablers.Through generous support from the Australian Business Deans Council, we are offering a Carbon Literacy Training (CLT) through an accelerated 8 hour-program delivered online and across Australia and New Zealand by certified Carbon Literacy Trainers. In this unique partnership with the PRME AusNZ we will encourage you to consider how you can take meaningful action through your business school practices in education, research and our own impacts. By taking part in this program you will be eligible to receive a free certification so you can help others become carbon literate too.The CLT is accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project (CLP), a global organisation recognised by the UN at COP21 in Paris where it was awarded as a TAP100, one of 100 worldwide Transformative Action Programs.Once you have signed up using this form, we will send you instructions on how to access the CLT online and the event schedule/agenda closer to the date.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the event.
Regards,
ABDC-PRME Climate Action Working Group

There’s a long tradition in philosophy discussing the use of civil disobedience for political goals. What is permissible when it comes to climate protests and activism? Join us for a panel discussion with climate activists, students, and academics on this hotly debated issue. The panel debate is organised by the Murdoch Philosophy Program and students of the unit PHL211 Environmental Justice as part of Global Climate Change Week at Murdoch University.
