Global Climate Change Week 2025: October 13-19, 2025

Global Climate Change Week (GCCW) encourages academic communities – including academics, students, and non-academic staff at universities – in all disciplines and countries to engage with each other, their communities, and policy makers on climate change action and solutions.

Held annually in October, GCCW provides an open platform for academics to organize and coordinate activities aimed at raising climate awareness, inspiring behavior change, and driving transformation in relation to education and climate change solutions worldwide.

GCCW was launched in 2014 by Wollongong University in Australia. In 2020 the stewardship of GCCW transitioned from the University of Wollongong to the University of Tasmania. In 2025, University of Tasmania passed the leadership of GCCW to Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in Michigan, United States. GVSU Climate Change Education Solutions Network is proud to host GCCW in 2025-2029.
